Archer announced it has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire isol8, an innovative well technology company specializing in alloy-based barrier solutions and advanced materials for well completions, interventions, and plug-and-abandonment (P&A).
The company said the acquisition will expand and grow Archer’s plug business while advancing its strategy to become the P&A company of choice. isol8’s technologies are designed to support subsea and rigless well abandonment operations, an area Archer continues to prioritize as demand for efficient decommissioning solutions increases globally.
Archer noted that isol8’s alloy-based barrier technologies and advanced materials capabilities will strengthen and expand its existing plug portfolio. The acquisition is also expected to enhance Archer’s ability to provide scalable and integrated well abandonment services to customers worldwide.
The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close later in the second quarter of 2026.
