Architect Financial Technologies announced it has acquired IMX Health, a U.S. Designated Contract Market (DCM), and plans to launch the American Innovation Exchange, described as the first CFTC-regulated U.S. derivatives exchange purpose-built for the artificial intelligence economy.

The new platform, referred to as the AI Exchange, will support futures and options trading tied to compute costs across multiple GPU vendors and models, along with other components of the AI supply chain, pending regulatory review. The exchange is designed to serve datacenters, neocloud providers, hyperscalers, chip manufacturers, AI model companies, and lenders seeking hedging and risk management tools tailored to the rapidly growing AI infrastructure market.

According to the company, the AI Exchange will provide marginable compute derivatives alongside cross-marginable products tied to related commodities such as metals, energy, and power. The platform will also feature APIs optimized for agentic AI compatibility, direct onboarding through desktop and mobile interfaces, and trading infrastructure customized for AI industry participants.

The exchange’s futures contracts will utilize IOSCO- and EU BMR-certified indexes that combine real-time private transaction data, enabling hedging based on GPU models, configurations, geographies, and SKU-level specifications. Architect also said it is developing an exchange-for-physical marketplace intended to connect cash-settled compute derivatives with physical compute delivery markets.

Architect said it has established a multinational derivatives exchange group focused on perpetual futures and AI-related markets. The company provides exchange matching technology, clearing and settlement infrastructure, APIs for margin and order management, AI-assisted SDKs, and trading interfaces designed for institutional and retail users.

In addition to the planned American Innovation Exchange, Architect Bermuda Ltd. operates a perpetual futures exchange regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority. The company also operates broker-dealer and derivatives brokerage subsidiaries registered with FINRA, the SEC, the NFA, and the CFTC.
