Arcitecta announced the expansion of its European leadership team with the appointments of Ewen Smith as Managing Director of Arcitecta Europe and Nina Mangold as head of the company’s European channel program.

The company said the additions are part of its continued investment in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region as demand increases for intelligent data management solutions capable of addressing accelerating data growth, artificial intelligence adoption, and rising storage costs.

Smith brings experience spanning engineering, enterprise technology, and complex data environments. In his new role, he will oversee Arcitecta’s growth strategy across Europe and work to deepen customer relationships throughout the region. The company said his blend of technical expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and customer-focused approach will help organizations navigate increasingly sophisticated data management requirements.

Mangold joins with more than 18 years of experience in data management and archiving. Her background includes extensive work with scientific research institutions and organizations managing large-scale data environments. Arcitecta said her relationships across the research and cultural sectors will support the expansion of its partner ecosystem and strengthen the company’s presence among galleries, libraries, archives, and museums, including customers such as Imperial War Museums.

Arcitecta’s Mediaflux platform is designed to simplify the management of large datasets and support data-intensive workflows across petabyte-scale environments. The company said organizations are increasingly seeking solutions that enable secure global collaboration, long-term preservation of digital assets, improved accessibility, and enhanced readiness for AI and analytics applications.

According to Arcitecta, its technology helps customers avoid vendor lock-in while providing a unified framework for managing and accessing information across diverse storage environments.

The company said the expansion of its European leadership team reflects growing demand from research institutions, cultural organizations, and other enterprises facing the challenges associated with exponential data growth and the increasing importance of AI-driven workloads.
