Ares Management: Acquisition Of Epika Fleet Services

By Amit Chowdhry ● Apr 21, 2025

Epika Fleet Services – a leading mobile-focused provider of preventative maintenance and repair services for commercial trucking fleets – announced that an Ares Private Equity fund has acquired a majority stake in the company. This deal provides Epika with the capital needed to support investments in the quality and buildout of its service offerings, expand its customer base in underserved geographies, and solidify the platform as a mobile-solutions provider of choice for fleet operators.

Launched in 2016, Epika has rapidly scaled its platform by establishing leading capabilities in commercial fleet repair and maintenance services and building a strong local presence in key U.S. regions. Now, Epika operates across nearly 40 states and serves over 2,000 fleet customers.

Epika’s significant growth has been driven largely by its mobile-delivery service offerings. Over 550 skilled technicians perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs for fleet customers on the road every day. Epika also operates approximately 20 in-shop centers in the U.S., providing a hybrid offering for customers who require complex repairs or emergency services.

The terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Advisors: William Blair served as Epika’s exclusive financial advisor, and Reed Smith and Maslon served as legal advisors. Piper Sandler served as Ares’s exclusive financial advisor, and Sullivan & Cromwell served as Ares’s legal advisor on the transaction.
