Argano has announced the acquisition of Ascend, a leading provider of implementation, optimization, and managed services for UKG’s AI-led Workforce Operating Platform. The deal marks Argano’s twelfth transaction since launching its strategic growth program in April 2025 and its twenty-eighth since the company’s founding in 2020. The Plano, Texas-based consultancy said the acquisition advances its goal of building the largest UKG practice globally and the most comprehensive portfolio of services focused on operational transformation.
Founded in 2003, Ascend is one of the largest premier exclusive UKG partners in North America, with more than 130 certified consultants and a portfolio of more than 300 active projects spanning small, midmarket, and enterprise clients. The firm delivers full lifecycle services across the UKG Pro Workforce Management, UKG Pro HCM, and UKG Ready HCM suites, specializing in helping organizations design, implement, and optimize systems supporting HR, payroll, benefits administration, timekeeping, scheduling, and employee management. Its client base spans high-tech, distribution, and manufacturing industries.
The acquisition complements the workforce management capabilities Argano established through its earlier HyBridge acquisition and adds deep expertise across the UKG Pro suite, increasing delivery capacity and bringing greater scale across both human capital management and workforce management. Argano describes itself as the world’s first and largest Global Specialist Consultancy exclusively focused on the design and delivery of high-performance business operations with an AI-forward approach to transformation. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal advisor to Argano, with Ernst & Young providing financial diligence advisory. Crowe served as exclusive financial advisor to Ascend, with Smith, Gambrell & Russell serving as legal advisor.
