Argo Infrastructure Partners announced that it acquired a commercial and industrial solar portfolio from NuGen Capital Management. The portfolio includes eight sites, consisting of six sites in Massachusetts and two in New Jersey.
The acquisition expands Argo’s commercial and industrial solar platform to 196 sites and approximately 270 MW of operating capacity. Argo said this scale positions the firm among the larger owners of operating C&I solar assets in the U.S.
The transaction supports Argo’s strategy of investing in long-duration, lower-risk, higher-quality infrastructure assets. It also reinforces the firm’s continued commitment to distributed generation and energy transition infrastructure.
Argo said the portfolio adds further scale to its existing C&I solar platform. The company plans to partner with NuGen to support the long-term performance of the acquired assets.
NuGen Capital Management developed and operated the portfolio. Founded in 2010, NuGen finances, constructs, owns, and operates clean energy projects across the U.S.
The transaction represents Argo’s 21st investment. It follows Argo’s April 2026 agreement to acquire an electric transmission and distribution business from UGI Corporation for approximately $470 million.
Argo has invested billions of dollars in infrastructure assets and businesses since 2013. The firm focuses on essential infrastructure sectors, including utilities, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, solar, hydro energy, thermal assets, storage, and other long-duration infrastructure.
Argo was founded by Jason Zibarras and operates as an independent infrastructure investment manager. As of June 2026, the firm managed approximately $7.5 billion in assets.
