Arnold & Porter announced that Aron Estaver has rejoined the firm as a partner in the Investment Management team within the Corporate & Finance practice, affiliated with the firm’s San Francisco office.

Estaver returns to Arnold & Porter after previously spending 14 years at the firm. Prior to rejoining, he served as of counsel in the Private Funds Group at an Am Law 100 law firm.

His practice focuses on advising U.S. and international fund sponsors on the structuring and operation of private investment funds across strategies including private equity, venture capital, credit, hedge funds, real estate, and infrastructure.

Estaver also advises on secondary funds, funds-of-funds, co-investment vehicles, joint ventures, separately managed accounts, and other customized fund structures.

In addition to sponsor-side representation, he counsels institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and high-net-worth investors on private fund investments.

The firm noted that Estaver also brings experience advising clients on investment adviser regulatory matters, commodity pool operator and commodity trading advisor compliance issues, and securities regulation matters involving federal and state regulators.

Arnold & Porter said the hire reflects continued momentum in Northern California and the firm’s broader investment management expansion strategy on the West Coast.

Estaver earned a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Arnold & Porter operates with more than 1,000 lawyers across 16 offices globally.
