Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Intelligent Communications Experiences, a Melbourne, Victoria-based consulting business that helps organizations develop and deliver digital employee communications. The acquisition expands Gallagher’s employee-communications capabilities in Australia and New Zealand.
The Intelligent Communications Experiences team is led by Chris Cansfield, Steve Mann, Glyn Wallens, and Kevin McDougall. The group will operate under Graham Campbell, Gallagher’s head of employee benefits and HR consulting operations in Australia and New Zealand. Gallagher said the acquired team broadens its ability to advise employers on internal communications and digital employee engagement.
Intelligent Communications Experiences works with businesses on communications programs intended to improve how information reaches employees across digital channels. By adding the consulting team to its employee-benefits and human-resources platform, Gallagher can combine communications strategy with broader workforce, benefits, and organizational consulting services.
The transaction also increases Gallagher’s presence in the Australian market through a specialized advisory team rather than a traditional insurance brokerage acquisition. Management highlighted the team’s local relationships and digital-communications experience as the primary strategic fit.
Arthur J. Gallagher is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and provides insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting services in approximately 130 countries through owned operations and a network of correspondent brokers and consultants. The company plans to integrate Intelligent Communications Experiences into its existing regional consulting platform while keeping the acquired leadership team in place.
The announcement also reflects a broader effort to scale the core business while preserving the operating capabilities, customer relationships, and market expertise already in place. Management’s near-term focus is on execution of the transaction or growth plan described above, integration of the relevant teams and technology, and continued investment in the products and services that support existing customers.
