Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced that it has acquired B&W Insurance Agency, Inc., a Washington, Pennsylvania-based insurance firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
B&W Insurance Agency provides a range of personal lines and commercial brokerage services to individuals and businesses throughout southwest Pennsylvania. The firm has built a strong presence in its local market, advising clients on risk management strategies and delivering tailored insurance solutions designed to meet the needs of both families and small to mid-sized businesses.
As part of the transaction, Paul Barzd III, Jim Cote and the B&W Insurance Agency team will continue operating from their current Washington, Pennsylvania location. The team will report to Jen Tadin, who leads Gallagher Select, the company’s U.S. property and casualty platform focused on serving small businesses and personal insurance clients. Gallagher Select specializes in providing customized coverage solutions, leveraging national resources while maintaining a localized service approach.
The acquisition aligns with Gallagher’s broader growth strategy of expanding its retail brokerage footprint through targeted acquisitions of established regional firms. By integrating B&W Insurance Agency into its network, Gallagher aims to enhance its capabilities in the southwest Pennsylvania market and further strengthen its support for small business and personal insurance clients.
