Art’s-Way Manufacturing announced that its Modular Buildings segment has secured several major projects, increasing the unit’s backlog to more than $19 million.
The backlog represents a significant increase from the $1.3 million reported for the segment in the company’s Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ended May 31, 2026.
Art’s Way said the newly awarded projects substantially increase production commitments for the Modular Buildings business and provide greater visibility into future manufacturing activity.
The company expects the majority of the current backlog to be fulfilled by the end of its 2027 fiscal year, subject to customer schedules, project milestones and execution requirements.
Art’s Way is not disclosing the identities of the customers or additional details about the projects because of contractual confidentiality obligations.
The company said additional information could be released in the future if the customers agree to joint announcements.
Art’s Way expects the projects to be completed at margins generally consistent with its historical performance on comparable Modular Buildings projects.
The company defines backlog as the estimated value of signed customer contracts that have not yet been completed. Backlog can provide visibility into future activity, although the timing and ultimate amount of recognized revenue can change based on customer requirements, schedules and contract terms.
Art’s Way operates two reporting segments: Agricultural Products and Modular Buildings.
The company has approximately 100 employees across locations in Armstrong and Monona, Iowa.
Its agricultural equipment portfolio includes manure spreaders, forage boxes, high-dump carts, bale processors, graders, land planes, sugar beet harvesters and grinder mixers.
The Modular Buildings segment serves customers requiring specialized manufactured facilities and is now positioned for an extended period of production activity following the latest project awards.
