Arya, an AI-enabled couples wellness platform, announced the closing of $21 million in growth financing as the company seeks to build what it describes as a “relationship OS” designed to help modern couples communicate more effectively and sustain healthier relationships.

The New York-based company is positioning itself within the rapidly expanding wellness market, which is estimated to exceed $6 trillion globally. While recent years have seen significant investment in individual-focused wellness technologies such as sleep optimization, stress management, and mental health platforms, Arya is targeting a gap in tools designed specifically to maintain and strengthen relationships between partners.

Arya’s platform blends artificial intelligence with human relationship expertise. Through the service, each partner privately interacts with an “Intimacy Concierge,” which is supported by Arya’s AI model. The system analyzes conversations and behavioral data to surface communication prompts, suggest activities, and offer curated experiences to help couples reconnect and address tensions before they escalate.

The company believes the opportunity is substantial, citing millions of couples who lack structured tools to maintain relationship health after the dating phase. Arya’s technology is designed to act as a neutral intermediary between partners, surfacing hidden friction points and offering proactive ways to improve communication and connection.

Several trends are reinforcing the need for such solutions, including growing loneliness and increasing openness to using AI for personal well-being support.

Key statistics highlighted by the company include:

  1. Approximately 72 million couples in the United States.
  2. One in six people reports feeling lonely within their relationship.
  3. Among adults aged 45 and older, that figure rises to one in three.

Arya reports that the platform has already reached eight figures in annual recurring revenue and has grown threefold year over year. The newly raised capital will support continued product development and category expansion as the company works to establish relationship wellness as a core pillar of the broader digital wellness ecosystem.

The company views its approach as analogous to the emergence of mental wellness platforms roughly a decade ago, when companies such as Calm and Headspace helped normalize digital mental health tools for everyday use. Arya aims to follow a similar trajectory by bringing relationship wellness conversations into the mainstream.

KEY QUOTE:

“The last decade of wellness was about the individual – optimizing one’s personal sleep, stress, metabolism, and mental health. But our emotional wellbeing is inseparable from our relationships, and our relationships make up more of our overall wellbeing than we realize. We built Arya to be the infrastructure that supports couples’ wellness.”
