Global law firm Ashurst has announced the appointment of Jonathan Parry as a senior capital markets partner, marking his return to the firm after nearly a decade. Parry rejoins Ashurst from White & Case, where he had been a key figure in its capital markets practice, and will bolster the firm’s corporate team in London.
Parry brings more than 25 years of experience advising on equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, rights issues, placings and accelerated book-builds across the London Stock Exchange and other major exchanges in the EMEA region. His practice spans advising both issuers and investment banks, and he previously completed a secondment with the UK Listing Authority. He is also recognized as a Hall of Fame lawyer for UK ECM in Legal 500.
The move underscores Ashurst’s continued investment in expanding its corporate and capital markets capabilities, particularly as demand for sophisticated ECM advice grows amid evolving market conditions. Parry’s return is expected to strengthen the firm’s ability to support clients across public offerings and complex transactions globally, including in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
His reappointment also reflects Ashurst’s broader strategy of attracting senior talent to deepen its bench in key practice areas and enhance its integrated corporate offering for corporate, sponsor, and financial institution clients.
