Aspen Surgical Products announced it has acquired Ruhof Healthcare, adding enzymatic detergents, cleaning verification, and instrument and endoscope reprocessing solutions as it continues to expand into operating rooms, sterile processing departments, and endoscopy.
The deal brings Aspen Surgical into categories tied to infection prevention and workflow efficiency, including advanced enzymatic detergents, automated and manual reprocessing solutions, digital cleaning verification, single-use endoscopy consumables, and instrument refurbishment offerings. Aspen Surgical said Ruhof’s products will strengthen its SPD360 Performance Solutions platform and complement established brands in its portfolio, including Symmetry, Bookwalter, and Precept.
Ruhof, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Mineola, New York, is known for products such as Endozime enzymatic detergents, the ScopeValet line of single-use consumables, and the CleanRead ATP-based contamination monitoring system. Aspen Surgical said Ruhof generates about $50 million in annual revenue and serves customers across the United States and in more than 30 countries through a global distribution network.
Aspen Surgical, headquartered in Caledonia, Michigan, said the acquisition includes all Ruhof operations, brands, and product lines, and that integration will begin immediately, with no near-term disruption expected for customers, suppliers, or employees. Financial terms were not disclosed.
