ASSA ABLOY announced it has acquired Sam’s Garage Doors, a Canada-based distributor, installer, and servicer of door products, as well as a manufacturer of gate products.
Founded in 1990, Sam’s Garage Doors employs about 40 people. The company’s main office and manufacturing facility are located in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. The business provides distribution, installation, and servicing of various door products while also manufacturing gate products.
Through the acquisition, ASSA ABLOY is strengthening its presence in Western Canada and expanding its service reach across the greater Vancouver area. The company said Sam’s Garage Doors offers a complementary portfolio that will allow ASSA ABLOY to provide additional products and services to its existing customers in the region.
Following the transaction, Sam’s Garage Doors will become part of the Industrial business segment within ASSA ABLOY’s Entrance Systems Division.
Sam’s Garage Doors generated approximately MCAD 17 (about MSEK 120) in sales during 2025 and reported a strong EBIT margin. ASSA ABLOY indicated the acquisition will be accretive to earnings per share from the start.
