ASSA ABLOY Acquires UK Student Accommodation Access Control Provider NSP Security

ASSA ABLOY has acquired NSP Security in the UK, adding a business that designs, manufactures, and installs electronic access control solutions, primarily for student accommodation.

The company said NSP strengthens its hospitality-focused offering within ASSA ABLOY’s Global Solutions business area and creates additional growth opportunities by expanding its access control capabilities. NSP will be integrated into Global Solutions, within the Hospitality business area.

Founded in 1993, NSP has about 20 employees and is headquartered in Borehamwood, UK. ASSA ABLOY said NSP’s 2024 sales totaled about MGBP 8, or approximately MSEK 100, and described the business as having a strong EBIT margin. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings per share from the start.
