ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire Gunnebo Entrance Control, an international provider of pedestrian access and entrance control systems. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Gunnebo’s products include speed gates, mass-transit gates and security revolving doors used to control pedestrian access in commercial properties, public transportation facilities and other secure environments.
The business will join ASSA ABLOY’s Pedestrian business segment within its Entrance Systems division.
Gunnebo Entrance Control was formed in 1995, although its history dates to 1764. The company has approximately 670 employees and is headquartered in Maresfield, United Kingdom.
It operates manufacturing sites across Europe, the United States and Asia.
The company generated approximately €151 million in sales during 2025 and reported what ASSA ABLOY described as a good operating margin.
ASSA ABLOY said the acquisition will broaden its pedestrian access portfolio while adding Gunnebo’s engineering capabilities, employees and industry experience.
The transaction is expected to have a small initial dilutive effect on ASSA ABLOY’s earnings per share.
Closing is expected during the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
