Assort Health: $26 Million Secured For Specialty-Specific GenAI Platform For Managing Patient Phone Calls

Assort Health, which is a specialty-specific AI platform for managing patient phone calls, announced a new round of institutional financing co-led by First Round Capital and Chemistry, with participation from existing investor Quiet Capital. This funding Assort Health’s total capital raised to $26 million. These investors join Assort Health’s existing backers, Four Acres, Tau Ventures, and several notable angel investors, including senior executives and founders from Athena Health, Astrana Health, Flatiron Health, Infinitus, Mammoth Biosciences, Mercury, PathAI, and Presto.

This new funding round will advance the company’s mission to improve access to care by eliminating the lengthy hold times and scheduling inefficiencies that plague healthcare organizations.

Assort Health was created by Jon Wang and Jeff Liu – who are experienced leaders with expertise in AI, healthcare, and machine learning from renowned institutions, including Apple, Stanford, Commure, and Meta. And the founders are on a mission to help patients more easily access healthcare.

Traditional healthcare call centers struggle with inefficient and cumbersome scheduling systems, resulting in high staff turnover (close to 45% annually). And as a result, patients face long hold times, resulting in abandoned calls, frustration, and barriers to care. Assort Health’s AI-based voice agent delivers an effective solution and is already transforming operations for hundreds of organizations like Chesapeake Healthcare, OrthoIndy, Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates, and Cleaver Medical Dermatology.

Since launching in 2023, Assort Health now handles millions of inbound calls on behalf of its customers without the need for human intervention, and the technology has helped hundreds of thousands of patients navigate their care.
