Astraeus has launched an AI-native infrastructure platform designed to help wealth management firms unify fragmented data, workflows, business rules and governance systems for artificial intelligence applications.
The New York-based company has raised more than $10 million to date from investors including Fintech Collective, F-Prime, Walkabout Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures.
Astraeus was founded by Phill Rosen and Jon Stevenson, who previously worked together at MoneyLion. Rosen served as Global CTO, while Stevenson led Corporate Development and Wealth Management.
Rosen is a repeat fintech founder whose previous company was acquired by MoneyLion. Stevenson previously held senior wealth management positions at Stifel Financial, Barclays Wealth and Merrill Lynch.
The company is targeting investment advisory firms, wealth technology platforms, private equity firms and consulting organizations seeking to build AI-native operating environments.
Astraeus argues that wealth managers frequently operate through fragmented technology stacks in which client, account, product, compliance and operational data are distributed across separate systems. This fragmentation can become more problematic as firms attempt to deploy AI across regulated workflows.
At the center of the platform is a semantic layer and ontology designed to model relationships among clients, advisors, accounts, products, fees, policies and regulatory requirements.
The system also records what changed and why, creating an audit trail intended to make AI-generated outputs more explainable and traceable to their underlying sources.
Astraeus is also designed to be model-agnostic, allowing firms to use different AI models for different business functions without tying their underlying data, governance and decision-making architecture to a single provider.
The platform is intended for RIAs, broker-dealers, private banks, multifamily offices and other financial institutions and can support client intelligence, advisor workflows, compliance, investment research, portfolio operations and AI-agent orchestration.
KEY QUOTES:
“The result is an industry operating on fragmented architecture that limits visibility, creates operational drag, and constrains growth. We built Astraeus to provide a unified infrastructure that understands how a firm actually operates and enables every decision, workflow, and process to benefit from that context.”
Phill Rosen, Co-Founder and CEO of Astraeus
“Models will evolve. New capabilities will emerge. The real competitive advantage will come from codifying the intelligence of the firm, including business rules, governance frameworks, and operating context built over time.”
Jon Stevenson, Co-Founder and President of Astraeus
