Astro Pak, a provider of high-purity and precision cleaning services, announced it has acquired Clean Sciences, LLC, a specialized precision cleaning services company. The transaction marks Astro Pak’s first acquisition under its ownership by The Stephens Group and is aimed at expanding its cleanroom footprint and capabilities, particularly in Northern California.
Clean Sciences brings expertise in ultrasonic cleaning, high-purity solvent and detergent processes, chemical etching, and hot RO and DI water rinsing. The company also operates ISO Class 5 and 6 cleanroom environments and has a long track record serving semiconductor, aerospace and defense, medical, and electronics industries.
The acquisition enhances Astro Pak’s existing cleanroom operations in Downey, California and Titusville, Florida, while strengthening its position in key end markets such as semiconductor manufacturing and defense. Clean Sciences’ focus on tailored solutions, rapid turnaround times, and customer service is expected to complement Astro Pak’s broader service portfolio.
Founded in 1959, Astro Pak serves industries including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food and beverage, data centers, semiconductors, and aerospace and defense. Clean Sciences, with more than 30 years of experience, will now operate as part of Astro Pak’s growing platform in precision cleaning.
The Stephens Group, a private investment firm with over $2 billion in assets under management, supported the acquisition as part of its strategy to build a leading provider of high purity and precision cleaning services across critical industries.
