ASUENE, one of Asia’s fastest-growing AI sustainability-integrated companies, announced it has completed the acquisition of Secaro, a UK-based supply chain carbon management platform, marking its eighth acquisition. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Secaro provides supply chain sustainability data collection, analytics, and supplier decarbonization programs for global manufacturers operating in more than 90 countries, particularly across North America and Europe, with a customer base spanning more than 8,000 companies including Toyota, Honda, and GM. The deal builds on a business alliance agreement the two companies signed in July 2025 and deepens ASUENE’s presence in the UK and US markets as manufacturers face growing regulatory pressure to measure and disclose Scope 3 emissions.
In Europe, the largest companies are already reporting sustainability data under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, with a further wave of reporting requirements to follow starting in 2028, while in the UK, ISSB-aligned Sustainability Reporting Standards are proposed to become mandatory for listed companies starting in 2027.
ASUENE has doubled its customer base to 56,000 over the past year across Japan, Asia, North America, and Europe. Secaro, previously known as Manufacture 2030, is used by global brands including M&S, Ocado Retail, AstraZeneca, and Honda.
