Atira Raises $17.5 Million To Build AI Orchestration Platform For Industrial Sales Engineering

Atira has raised $17.5 million in funding, including a $15 million Seed round led by Accel and a previously unannounced $2.5 million Pre-Seed round. UVC, Fortino and Booom also participated, alongside industry executives and operators including Ann-Kristin Achleitner, Whirlpool CEO Marc Bitzer, Markus Flik and Celonis Co-Founder and Co-CEO Bastian Nominacher.

The Munich-based company plans to use the financing to expand its go-to-market organization, accelerate product development and support international growth.

Founded in November 2024 by Florian Diegruber and August DuMont Schütte, Atira is building a multi-agent AI platform designed to automate industrial sales engineering workflows for companies selling complex, built-to-order products and services.

Diegruber previously served as a Commercial Lead at Palantir, while DuMont Schütte was an ML Software Engineer at Google.

Atira’s platform helps industrial companies process complex requests for quotation, or RFQs, by reviewing specifications, identifying and commenting on key requirements, configuring appropriate solutions and producing bid documentation.

The software connects with existing CRM, ERP and CPQ systems and can generate outputs including technical documentation, configuration proposals, pricing options, completed customer templates and final proposals.

Atira is targeting a process that remains highly manual across industrial companies. Preparing a single proposal can take weeks or months and often requires coordination among sales engineers, technical teams, legal teams and commercial staff reviewing hundreds or thousands of pages of specifications.

The company estimates that industrial sales engineering represents more than $128 billion in annual labor spending globally.

Since its commercial launch in November 2025, Atira has signed more than 15 customers, including ABB E-Mobility, Chiron Group, Rema Tip Top and Robel.

Atira said early customers have reduced request-to-bid preparation times by as much as 80%, while using the platform to standardize proposal processes, preserve institutional knowledge and allow engineering teams to spend more time on higher-value technical work.

The company is also seeing expansion within existing customer accounts as deployments move beyond initial use cases.

Atira plans to broaden its platform into adjacent commercial workflows including pricing intelligence, aftersales and supplier coordination as it works toward becoming a broader operating system for industrial commercial teams.

KEY QUOTES:

“Sales engineering is one of the largest workflows in manufacturing that software has never truly automated. Today, critical commercial expertise is scattered across people, documents and disconnected systems. Atira is changing that by helping industrials turn expertise into a scalable capability and bringing AI into one of the most important processes in industrial organizations. With Accel’s support, we’re accelerating our mission to become the commercial operating system for industrials.”

Florian Diegruber, CEO and Co-Founder of Atira

“Many of the most important workflows in manufacturing still depend on manual coordination across teams, systems and documents. What impressed us about Atira was not just the scale of the opportunity, but how quickly the team translated their vision into a product that customers are already adopting and expanding across their organizations. Florian and August combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of industrial workflows, and we believe Atira is well positioned to become a foundational platform for industrial sales engineering.”

Harry Nelis, Partner at Accel

“We have evaluated multiple providers offering AI Tender Processing and Requirement Engineering and Atira impressed us by their ability to really meet and enhance our current processes and a solution that was implemented and working productively within a week.”
