Atlas, a financial firm focused on modernizing wealth management, has acquired Central Wealth Management (CWM), a Wisconsin-based RIA. This acquisition pushes Atlas’s total assets under management past $230 million. CWM will now operate fully under the Atlas brand, maintaining its office in Madison, Wisconsin.
As part of the deal, CWM founder Eric Heiting will become President and Head of Wealth Management at Atlas. Heiting, who brings over 20 years of experience and expertise in alternative investments, will also serve as Atlas’s lead advisor. His new role will be crucial in recruiting experienced advisors and advancing the firm’s use of AI-leveraged technology to transform wealth management. The entire CWM team will also join Atlas.
Atlas aims to revolutionize wealth management by combining industry expertise with advanced technology, particularly agentic AI, to automate administrative tasks. This automation is designed to boost advisor productivity, allowing them to dedicate more time to client engagement and strategic planning.
With this expansion, Atlas will now extend its family office-level services to the mass affluent market, catering to clients with assets ranging from $50,000 to $75 million. These services include access to institutional-grade alternative investments, integrated tax and estate planning, and personalized portfolio creation. Atlas is accelerating its mission to deliver a more inclusive, tech-enabled, and advisor-driven model that redefines modern wealth management.
