Atlassian Ventures Invests In Rocketlane To Advance AI-Powered Professional Services Delivery

Rocketlane announced it has received a strategic investment from Atlassian Ventures, reinforcing the growing importance of AI-powered professional services platforms as enterprises rethink how implementation and consulting work is delivered. The investment follows Rocketlane’s recent $60 million Series C financing and reflects Atlassian’s confidence in the company’s vision after adopting Rocketlane internally for its own AI-driven professional services operations.

The investment comes during a period of rapid growth for Rocketlane. The company has now raised a total of $105 million, more than doubled its revenue over the past year, and serves more than 750 customers worldwide, including 20 companies on the Forbes Cloud 100 list.

Rocketlane believes professional services organizations are entering a new phase driven by artificial intelligence, with traditional approaches to project scoping, staffing, pricing, and execution being reimagined. Rather than simply adding AI to existing workflows, the company is focused on rebuilding delivery processes around AI-native capabilities.

Central to that strategy is Rocketlane Nitro, which the company describes as the industry’s first agentic execution platform for professional services teams. Nitro is designed to automate implementation tasks such as migrations, configurations, documentation, and environment setup, with early deployments demonstrating the potential to reduce delivery effort by up to 50%.

Beyond execution automation, Nitro continuously monitors project data, customer interactions, and delivery health to identify risks and opportunities in real time, allowing services teams to proactively address issues before they escalate. The platform also automates administrative tasks such as timesheet governance, utilization tracking, and compliance, enabling consultants to spend more time on customer-facing and billable work.

Rocketlane’s broader platform combines project management, resource planning, financial management, customer collaboration, and AI-driven automation into a single solution for organizations delivering enterprise software implementations.

KEY QUOTES:

“We’re seeing AI create meaningful opportunities for disruption across industries. Rocketlane’s thoughtful approach to launching AI agent-led experiences for implementation services and consulting teams is exciting. Seeing our own services team at Atlassian choose Rocketlane was compelling proof of their momentum and the strength of their product in the category.”

Georgia Zhang, Head of Atlassian Ventures

“AI isn’t just changing how PS teams do their work. It’s challenging every assumption about what that work should look like in the first place. How you scope a project, how you price it, how you draw the line between human judgment and agent execution… these are all open questions now. The temptation is to take everything you know and layer AI on top of it. We think that’s the wrong instinct. The teams that will win are the ones willing to rethink delivery from scratch, and that’s exactly what we’re building Rocketlane to support.”
