Atmosphere Commercial Interiors announced that it has acquired Acre, formerly known as General Office Products, effective June 1, 2026. Both companies are Steelcase furniture dealerships that have served the greater Minneapolis market for decades, with Atmosphere and Acre bringing more than a century of combined experience to the region.

Headquartered in Minneapolis and operating as an Omni company, Atmosphere said the acquisition strengthens its position in the Minneapolis market while expanding its capabilities in the education and public sector segments. The combined organization will continue to be led by Carlene Wilson, CEO and President of Atmosphere Commercial Interiors.

According to the company, the acquisition is designed to enhance customer support across overlapping markets while providing greater scale, operational consistency, and alignment with Steelcase standards. Atmosphere said it plans to integrate the two organizations through a phased approach intended to minimize disruption and maintain continuity for clients.

Atmosphere highlighted its focus on operational efficiency, technology, strategic resource planning, and a client-first culture as key drivers of its growth. The company noted that Acre brings a strong reputation in the region for customer service, project execution, and long-standing client relationships.

Acre has been led for more than 30 years by brothers John and Dave Boss, sons of company co-founder Jack Boss. Under their leadership, the company developed a trusted presence in the Minneapolis market and cultivated long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.

As part of the transaction, Atmosphere will welcome Acre employees into the organization and continue investing in the Minneapolis market while expanding opportunities for team members and customers alike.
