Atombeam Appoints Cody Martinson As President Of Neurpac Division

Atombeam has appointed Cody Martinson as president of its Neurpac division, placing the technology executive in charge of the unit’s engineering, product marketing, sales, and broader growth strategy.

Martinson will lead the expansion of Neurpac, Atombeam’s AI-powered software platform designed to help organizations move and process substantially more data through existing wired and wireless infrastructure without requiring new hardware.

The appointment comes as companies face rising infrastructure demands from artificial intelligence, connected devices, large-scale databases, and other data-intensive workloads. Atombeam believes Neurpac can help customers increase network capacity, reduce latency, and extend the useful life of existing systems.

Neurpac uses artificial intelligence to identify, encode, and decode patterns within data in milliseconds. This process reduces data size while allowing the information to remain searchable, secure, and accessible for real-time transmission.

According to Atombeam, Neurpac can reduce data size by approximately 75% and increase the available bandwidth of existing cellular, satellite, wired, and other networks by four times or more.

The company said the platform can achieve even greater bandwidth improvements in certain environments, with increases of up to nine times depending on the application and infrastructure.

Neurpac is a software-only solution that can be deployed within existing technology stacks in minutes. It is designed to work with several forms of data, including files, block data, video, and supervisory control and data acquisition information.

By operating on existing infrastructure, Neurpac offers organizations an alternative to making large capital investments in additional networking equipment, data center capacity, and other physical systems.

Atombeam said the platform is particularly relevant for environments where bandwidth is constrained but reliable, real-time data transmission is critical. These can include satellite connections, cellular networks, industrial systems, military operations, and remote infrastructure.

Neurpac has been used by financial services companies, the U.S. military, and other organizations operating in demanding environments where data must move securely and consistently despite limitations in network capacity.

The platform can also support data center efficiency by reducing the volume of information that must be stored, transferred, and processed. Atombeam sees additional opportunities in large-scale database transfers, where data movement can create performance bottlenecks and significant infrastructure costs.

As president of Neurpac, Martinson will oversee the division’s efforts to commercialize the technology across industries facing growing data and bandwidth requirements.

He will work with the division’s engineering leadership to continue developing the platform while expanding its sales and product marketing capabilities.

Martinson has nearly two decades of senior leadership experience in artificial intelligence, analytics, and emerging technology businesses.

Before joining Atombeam, he served as president and director of Telleqt, an AI software company that helps organizations use predictive models to generate additional value from their data.

He previously served as president of Artacle and as CEO of DANATEQ, a provider of a self-learning cognitive analytics platform.

Martinson holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwood University.

Atombeam highlighted the contributions of James Luciani, its senior vice president of engineering, to the development of Neurpac.

Before joining Atombeam, Luciani helped establish and lead engineering for Akamai’s Emerging Mobile Business Unit. He developed technologies intended to improve the quality of mobile experiences and enable in-vehicle content delivery for applications such as firmware updates and entertainment systems.

Luciani previously led the development of next-generation switching and routing products at Ericsson, overseeing products from initial concept through deployment.

Atombeam believes the rapid adoption of AI is creating an infrastructure challenge that cannot be addressed solely by constructing more data centers or purchasing additional networking hardware.

Large language models and other AI systems require substantial computing, storage, and data-transfer resources. Atombeam said these requirements are placing increasing pressure on networks, data centers, and legacy industrial infrastructure.

Neurpac is intended to address part of this problem by making existing connections more efficient and allowing organizations to transmit more information without proportionally increasing physical capacity.

The company is also developing the Persistent Cognitive Machine, an AI architecture designed to support continuous learning and real memory.

Atombeam said the architecture is intended to provide the contextual understanding needed for real-time decision-making while remaining lightweight enough to operate on chips and connected devices.
