August Robotics announced it has raised a $30 million Series B financing round led by Big Pi Ventures, with continued backing from Blackbird Ventures, Skip Capital, Tanarra Capital, and Future Family Office Pty Ltd, alongside new investor GS Futures.
The company said the funding marks a significant milestone in its effort to automate complex physical-world workflows through fleets of autonomous robots coordinated across a unified software, hardware, and fleet-management platform. August Robotics focuses on deploying robotics systems that can operate reliably in large-scale commercial and industrial environments, helping customers improve efficiency, reduce labor-intensive tasks, and increase operational precision.
Founded to address repetitive and highly manual workflows across industries such as construction, infrastructure, and event management, August Robotics has developed a suite of robotic technologies designed for real-world deployment at scale. Its flagship products include Lionel, an autonomous fleet of floor-marking robots used in exhibitions, convention centers, and other large indoor venues. The company also develops downward-drilling robots engineered for high-precision construction and data center deployment workflows.
According to the company, its robotics platform combines autonomy, computer vision, AI-driven navigation, and centralized fleet orchestration software to enable multiple robots to operate simultaneously across large job sites. The platform is designed to support enterprise-scale deployments where consistency, speed, and operational reliability are critical.
August Robotics said the new capital will be used to scale manufacturing and production capacity, strengthen its AI and autonomy capabilities, accelerate deployments across data center construction sites, and support continued investment in software infrastructure and fleet management tools. The company also plans to expand its commercial presence and operational footprint across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Australia as demand for automation solutions continues to grow.
The company noted that rising global investment in data center construction, industrial infrastructure, and large-scale facilities management is creating new opportunities for autonomous robotics platforms to improve productivity and address labor shortages. August Robotics said it plans to use the funding to deepen partnerships with enterprise customers while expanding into additional high-growth markets worldwide.
