AUI Acquires Quack AI To Expand Customer Service Agent Capabilities

By Amit Chowdhry • Feb 25, 2026

Augmented Intelligence (AUI), the company behind the Apollo-1 neuro-symbolic artificial intelligence model, announced it has acquired Quack AI, a developer of AI agent technology focused on customer service. The agreement is expected to double the size of AUI’s Israeli R&D team in Tel Aviv.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Nadav Kemper and CTO Aviram Roisman, Quack AI employs 15 people. The company participated in the Fusion accelerator program and raised approximately $7 million in a seed round led by Hanaco Ventures and Storytime Capital, with participation from Fusion VC, Savyon Ventures, SeedIL Ventures, and additional private investors, including WalkMe Founder and CEO Dan Adika.

Quack AI develops trainable AI agents designed to improve and automate customer support processes across industries. The agents proactively identify and resolve customer issues at early stages before escalation and can be trained to manage complex topics requiring specialized expertise. The company serves dozens of global customers, including Artlist, Yotpo, WalkMe, and Hologram. Quack AI customers will continue to receive uninterrupted service, now supported by AUI’s infrastructure, resources, and technology.

Founded in 2017 by CEO Ohad Elhelo and Chief Product Officer Ori Cohen, AUI has raised $60 million to date. The company developed Apollo-1, which it describes as the world’s first neuro-symbolic AI model. Apollo-1 combines large language models, used to interpret user messages and generate responses, with symbolic computation, which is used for decision-making and logic execution.

According to the company, this approach enables the system to manage task-oriented conversations in which AI agents perform actions on behalf of organizations, such as opening bank accounts or completing online purchases through natural dialogue. These deterministic, instruction-based interactions have historically presented challenges for standard large language models, in contrast to open-ended dialogue or code generation tasks dominated by models such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

AUI operates in strategic partnership with Google and serves companies across regulated industries, including automotive, insurance, retail, and e-commerce, among them Fortune 500 organizations. The company employs approximately 60 people across Israel and the United States.
