Aurrigo International reported £4.2 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, an increase of 19% year over year, driven by growth in its Automotive division and new contract wins. The company also secured a £6.28 million contract with Ultra Global to design and manufacture 25 autonomous guided vehicles, representing the largest single contract in its history.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, Automotive revenue increased 53% to £3.6 million, compared with £2.4 million during the prior-year period.
The recovery followed disruption experienced during the first half of 2025, including the effects of U.S. tariffs on production schedules among UK automotive manufacturers.
Revenue from the company’s Autonomous division declined to £600,000 from £1.1 million, reflecting the completion of certain existing contracts and the timing of new programs.
Gross profit decreased to £1.1 million from £1.5 million, while gross margin declined to 25.5% from 42.3%.
Aurrigo reported an adjusted EBITDA loss of £3.1 million, compared with a £1.6 million loss a year earlier. Its pre-tax loss widened to £3.8 million from £2.1 million.
The increased losses reflect continued investment in manufacturing infrastructure and preparations for larger autonomous vehicle production contracts.
A major development during the first half was Aurrigo’s £6.28 million agreement with Ultra Global, signed in March.
Under the contract, Aurrigo will design and manufacture 25 autonomous guided vehicles for airport and passenger transit applications in the United Kingdom.
The company expects to recognize approximately £1.53 million in revenue during the second half of 2026, with the remaining £4.75 million anticipated in fiscal 2027, subject to production and delivery milestones.
The contract represents an important step in Aurrigo’s strategy of transitioning from autonomous vehicle development and demonstration programs toward larger commercial manufacturing agreements.
To support its production requirements, Aurrigo relocated its global headquarters and principal manufacturing operations to a substantially expanded facility at Power Park in Coventry.
The new facility is more than three times the size of its previous location and is intended to support the Ultra Global contract alongside anticipated future autonomous vehicle orders.
The company also secured a £4.5 million, three-year framework agreement through its Automotive division to supply electrical systems for a next-generation supercar program.
The agreement provides additional revenue visibility while supporting Aurrigo’s established automotive engineering business.
In aviation, Aurrigo received a license to provide ground-handling services at East Midlands Airport, enabling the deployment of its autonomous ground service equipment.
Following the reporting period, the company was awarded £1.43 million in UK government grant funding to deploy its Auto-Shuttle vehicles for autonomous safety and inspection activities at UK airports.
Aurrigo is also expanding into defense applications.
During the first half, the company secured its first defense contract, involving electrical systems for unmanned vehicles.
Some components were delivered during the reporting period, with the remaining deliveries completed during the second half.
The company is pursuing additional defense opportunities that could contribute to its order pipeline during 2027 and 2028.
Aurrigo also appointed Mark Gower as Director of Global Airport Operations.
Gower brings approximately 25 years of aviation experience, most recently serving as Managing Director of Gatwick Ground Services.
He will support the company’s efforts to convert autonomous vehicle trials into repeatable commercial deployments.
Aurrigo ended June with £8.4 million in cash, compared with £11.5 million at the end of December 2025.
Management said subsequent trading remained consistent with expectations, with several opportunities in its autonomous vehicle pipeline anticipated to reach important commercial decisions toward the end of 2026.
