Avalara, the agentic tax and compliance leader, announced it has acquired Versori, a next-generation integration platform company focused on automated connector development powered by agentic AI workflows. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition enhances Avalara’s ability to scale integrations across thousands of systems as it advances its long-term strategy of delivering real-time, always-on, audit-ready compliance embedded within every transaction worldwide.
Versori brings an automation-first approach to integration, designed to enable faster deployment, simplified maintenance, and global scalability across enterprise systems such as ERPs, ecommerce platforms, marketplaces, and financial applications, while maintaining the accuracy and reliability required for regulatory compliance.
By integrating Versori’s technology, Avalara aims to accelerate how it builds and scales integrations across its global platform. Versori’s agentic AI framework supports continuous maintenance and global scale on a modern, cloud-native infrastructure, aligning with Avalara’s shift toward AI-native compliance capabilities that operate continuously and intelligently.
The transaction includes both Versori’s technology and team. Versori’s co-founders and additional team members are joining Avalara to continue advancing integration and agentic AI capabilities across the platform. Versori will operate as Versori, by Avalara, extending Avalara’s integration reach across its global compliance ecosystem.
Founded more than two decades ago, Avalara has built one of the industry’s most expansive libraries of tax content and integrations, supporting over 200,000 direct and indirect customers across more than 75 countries. The company’s AI agents automate end-to-end compliance processes, including tax calculations, return filings, exemption certificate management, and related functions.
