Avantor has appointed Todd Garner as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, adding a finance executive with more than 30 years of operating and public-company experience to the life sciences tools company.
Garner’s appointment is effective September 21, 2026.
He will oversee Avantor’s global finance organization, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations and internal audit.
Garner most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO of medical technology company CONMED from 2018 through 2026.
Earlier in his career, he held several leadership positions at C. R. Bard, including Vice President of Investor Relations and divisional CFO.
Avantor said his experience includes supporting business growth, capital markets activity and shareholder value creation while working with boards, investors and senior management teams.
Garner is a certified public accountant and holds an accounting degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Steve Eck, who has served as Interim CFO since June 24, 2026, will continue as Avantor’s Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer.
