Avantos, an AI-native operating system designed to transform how financial institutions onboard and service clients, announced it has raised $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The round included new strategic investors The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, SEI and Vanguard.
The Series A builds on a $10 million seed round completed in September 2024, which was led by the MIT-affiliated E14 Fund and included M13, Mercer Advisors and Blue Collective. In total, Avantos has now raised $35 million.
The company plans to use the new capital to further expand its platform, including the development of additional AI agents and deeper integrations with custodians, customer relationship management systems, portfolio management tools, underwriting systems and policy administration platforms.
Avantos was founded by Bassam Chaptini and Rabih Ramadi, who drew on their experience in financial services to address what they saw as a fundamental misalignment. While many firms aim to deepen client relationships, they often rely on fragmented platforms and disconnected functions that make consistent execution across the client lifecycle difficult.
The Avantos platform is built on a knowledge graph designed to create shared context around client relationships by linking products, service teams, workflows and service expectations into a single system. This structure enables AI agents and human teams to operate from the same understanding of the client, allowing AI to reason across relationships, orchestrate work and execute tasks across systems with appropriate oversight. The company says this approach delivers a more consistent, personalized, compliant and scalable model for onboarding and servicing clients.
Avantos serves firms across the wealth management ecosystem, including asset managers, private banks, insurance carriers, broker-dealers, independent RIAs, and custodians.
