Avery Dennison announced a $75 million strategic investment in Wiliot to accelerate the adoption of Physical AI technologies and expand digital identification capabilities across global supply chains.

The minority investment deepens the existing partnership between the two companies, with Avery Dennison becoming the preferred inlay design, manufacturing, and commercial partner for Wiliot. The collaboration will focus on scaling the deployment of digital identities for physical items across industries such as retail, logistics, and food.

As part of the agreement, Avery Dennison will gain a seat on Wiliot’s Board of Directors, further strengthening strategic alignment between the companies. The partnership builds on Avery Dennison’s leadership in RFID and digital identification, combined with Wiliot’s battery-free Bluetooth Low Energy sensor technology and AI-powered platform.

The companies aim to enable continuous, real-time visibility into item location and condition, supporting applications such as inventory intelligence, condition monitoring, and workflow automation. The integration of complementary sensing technologies, including RFID and BLE, is expected to expand the total addressable market and unlock new data-driven capabilities for enterprise customers.

The investment reflects growing demand for AI-enabled supply chain solutions, where accurate, real-time data is critical for automation and decision-making. By connecting physical items to digital systems, the partnership is designed to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance transparency across complex global operations.

Wiliot’s platform processes billions of sensing events each month across millions of products, enabling businesses to monitor and manage inventory without manual scanning. The expanded partnership is intended to accelerate adoption of these capabilities at scale.
