Avrea: $4.7 Million Raised For Next-Generation CI/CD Platform Built For The Age Of AI

Avrea, a next-generation Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) platform built for the emerging agentic AI era, has officially launched from stealth after raising $4.7 million in pre-seed funding led by EarlyBird.

Founded by Hannu Valtonen and Juha Valvanne, Avrea is aiming to rethink software delivery for AI-driven development. The company believes the biggest bottleneck in modern software development is no longer writing code, but shipping it efficiently and reliably.

According to the company, developers and AI agents are now able to create and iterate on code faster than ever before, but every change still needs to be tested, validated, and deployed. Avrea said traditional CI/CD systems were not designed for the speed and scale of this new era of software development.

Avrea is building what it describes as a faster, more observable, and more intelligent CI/CD platform for engineering teams operating in AI-native environments. The platform works seamlessly with existing CI/CD workflows and can be integrated with minimal setup, requiring only a single line of code, enabling teams to adopt the technology without disrupting established development processes.

The company said it is initially focused on delivering faster CI runners, better visibility into failures and performance, and intelligence embedded directly inside the CI environment itself. Avrea added that its broader goal is to help software teams manage increasingly autonomous AI-driven development workflows while improving automation, reliability, and deployment efficiency.
