Axel Springer announced that it has acquired Bisnow, a commercial real estate media and events platform, as part of a strategy to expand its presence in the U.S. B2B media market. The transaction closed on March 2 and financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2005, Bisnow operates a media and events platform focused on the commercial real estate industry. The company provides news coverage, live events, and B2B marketing solutions designed to connect decision-makers across the sector.

Bisnow reaches more than 1.7 million subscribers and hosts more than 400 live events annually across 47 local markets in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Following the acquisition, Bisnow will join Morning Brew Inc. as part of a newly formed division called Brew Media Group. The group will be led by Robert Dippell, who will continue serving as CEO of Morning Brew. Axel Springer said the new division will focus on scaling media and events businesses through organic growth and additional acquisitions.

Bisnow will continue to operate independently under its existing leadership team, including CEO Gregg Mayer. Axel Springer said the acquisition will support the company’s next phase of growth while maintaining its focus on commercial real estate journalism and live events.

The deal expands Axel Springer’s footprint in the United States and complements its portfolio of digital media brands, including Business Insider, Politico, eMarketer, and Morning Brew. Bisnow was previously owned by The Wicks Group, a New York City-based private equity firm.
