Axion Semiconductor announced the acquisition of Moov Technologies, an Austin-based semiconductor equipment marketplace and asset management platform serving customers in more than 55 countries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded by semiconductor industry veterans Austin Gill, John Getchell, and Jeff Robbins, Axion Semiconductor focuses on supply chain operations and services for the semiconductor industry. The acquisition expands Axion’s operating platform and strengthens its position across the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain.

Moov Technologies has built a platform for buying, selling, and managing semiconductor manufacturing equipment and parts. The company created an interactive equipment marketplace and asset management platform designed to support semiconductor manufacturing operations globally. The platform is used by semiconductor companies to manage manufacturing assets, improve equipment lifecycle visibility, and streamline transactions.

The platform supports sourcing and sales of semiconductor fabrication, packaging, test, EMS, and SMT equipment, along with surplus, idle, and scrap tools. Moov also provides logistics, de-installation, rigging, crating, refurbishment, installation, and live shipment tracking services for semiconductor equipment transactions.

Axion Semiconductor, headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, acquires and integrates semiconductor businesses into a unified operating platform intended to support semiconductor supply chain infrastructure needs. The company’s leadership team collectively brings more than 60 years of industry experience and has managed billions of dollars in semiconductor equipment assets, services, and transactions.

Under the transaction, Jim O’Reilly will serve as CEO of Moov Technologies, while Jeff Kielty will continue as managing director. Moov will continue operating from Austin, Texas, and New York, while supporting customers across North America, Asia, and Europe. The company also maintains operations in Tempe, Arizona, and Taipei, Taiwan as part of Axion Semiconductor’s broader platform.

Axion Semiconductor said the acquisition will help Moov scale its marketplace and operational services while continuing to support semiconductor manufacturers and equipment suppliers globally.
