Azimuth AI, a semiconductor company building custom edge-AI system-on-chips for smart utilities, energy, and industrial infrastructure, said it has closed a new funding round led by Jetha Global, with participation from existing investors Moneta Ventures and AUM Ventures as well as additional new investors.
The company, which has offices in Sacramento, California, and Hyderabad, India, said the financing reflects growing investor confidence in its “Software-Defined Silicon” strategy and supports its push into production deployments and scale in 2026.
Azimuth AI’s flagship product, ARKA-GKT1, is designed for smart-utility and smart-infrastructure use cases and is currently advancing through qualification and customer testing, the company said. Azimuth AI said it remains on track to ramp ARKA-GKT1 to production volumes later in 2026 and described the platform as delivering significantly higher integration, flexibility, and energy efficiency than general-purpose alternatives, including claims of up to 10x performance improvement along with enhanced security and reliability.
The company also highlighted national-level recognition tied to ARKA-GKT1’s launch, noting that the chip was officially unveiled in New Delhi on November 17, 2025, at an event led by Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s Union Minister of Electronics & IT, Railways, and Communications. Azimuth AI positioned the milestone as the launch of India’s first smart-utility-focused, next-generation IP-powered silicon and part of broader efforts to strengthen India’s semiconductor capabilities.
