BAE Systems has been awarded six U.S. defense contracts and contract actions with a combined potential value of approximately $656.2 million, spanning amphibious combat vehicles, F-15EX electronic warfare systems, naval ammunition, strategic weapons support, and advanced laser technologies.
The awards were announced by the U.S. Department of War on September 30 and October 2, 2026, and involve work supporting the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force, along with certain Foreign Military Sales requirements.
The largest award is a $230.1 million firm-fixed-price modification to an existing Marine Corps contract for Amphibious Combat Vehicles.
BAE Systems Land & Armaments in Sterling Heights, Michigan, will exercise options to procure 32 full-rate production Amphibious Combat Vehicle recovery mission role variants, along with associated production, fielding, support costs and spare parts.
The modification brings the potential total value of the underlying ACV contract to approximately $4.10 billion if all options are exercised.
Work will be performed primarily in York, Pennsylvania, which accounts for 60% of the effort. Additional work will take place in Aiken, South Carolina; San Jose, California; Sterling Heights, Michigan; and Stafford, Virginia.
The ACV work is expected to be completed in November 2028, with the entire $230.1 million modification funded through fiscal 2026 Marine Corps procurement funds.
BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration in Nashua, New Hampshire, also received a $146.7 million contract for F-15EX Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System production hardware.
The award covers 40 F-15EX Lot 7 and Lot 8 EPAWSS production hardware sets, magazines and retainers.
EPAWSS is the electronic warfare and survivability system associated with the F-15EX platform.
Work under the $146,685,279 sole-source contract will be performed in Nashua and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2030.
Fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2026 procurement funds totaling approximately $58.8 million are being obligated at the time of award.
Another $99.2 million contract was awarded to BAE Systems in Rockville, Maryland, for systems engineering and integration support for Portfolio Acquisition Executive Strategic Systems Programs.
The hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-plus-incentive-fee contract covers systems engineering, integration, technical information, fleet support, program management, cybersecurity, documentation and related support services.
The contract also benefits a Foreign Military Sale.
Approximately 61% of the work will be performed in Rockville and another 20% in Washington, D.C. Other locations include Cape Canaveral, Florida; Saint Marys, Georgia; Silverdale, Washington; Groton, Connecticut; Frederick, Maryland; North Kingstown, Rhode Island; York, Pennsylvania; Huntsville, Alabama; and Barrow-in-Furness in the United Kingdom.
Work is expected to be completed September 30, 2027.
Approximately $4.8 million in fiscal 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act funding will be obligated at the time of the award.
BAE Systems Land & Armaments in Minneapolis also received a $90 million firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covering production of 57mm MK 295 MOD 0 High Explosive Pre-Fragmented, Programmable, Proximity Fuzed cartridges.
The contract covers manufacturing, assembly, testing and delivery of the ammunition.
Work will be conducted primarily in Karlskoga, Sweden, accounting for 57% of the effort, and Maple Grove, Minnesota, accounting for 40%. Smaller portions will be performed in Perry, Florida; Camden, Arkansas; and Winchester, Kentucky.
Deliveries are expected to continue through September 2037.
Approximately $33.8 million in Navy and Marine Corps ammunition procurement funding from fiscal years 2024 through 2026 will be obligated at the time of award.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division in Maryland is the contracting activity.
BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services in Rockville was separately awarded a $70.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical support and facilities engineering services for the U.S. Trident II D5 Strategic Weapons System program.
The stated $70,524,268 value includes all optional line items if exercised.
The award also supports a Foreign Military Sale.
Approximately 68% of the work will take place in Washington, D.C., with the remaining work divided between Kings Bay, Georgia, and Bangor, Washington.
The contract is expected to run through September 30, 2031.
Approximately $18.4 million in fiscal 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act funding is being provided for the action.
Both the $99.2 million Strategic Systems Programs award and the $70.5 million Trident II D5 award were made as sole-source acquisitions.
The sixth award is a potential $19.7 million contract for BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems in Broomfield, Colorado, supporting a program called Laser Utilization for Military Innovation and Novel Applications.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a maximum ceiling of $19,679,844.
The program is focused on exploiting the advantages of pulsed lasers and integrating solid-state laser technology with existing beam-control systems.
Work will take place at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico and is expected to be completed by September 29, 2031.
Unlike several of the other BAE awards, the laser contract resulted from a competitive procurement that received six offers.
The Air Force is initially obligating $1 million in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funding.
Together, the six awards have a combined stated value or maximum potential value of $656,195,447, giving BAE Systems new work across ground combat vehicles, aircraft survivability systems, naval weapons, strategic nuclear deterrence support and emerging directed-energy technologies.
