Bain Capital Credit Deploys $8 Billion In 2025 To Support Middle-Market Private Credit Opportunities

Bain Capital Credit announced that its Private Credit Group deployed approximately $8 billion in financing investments during 2025, supporting middle-market and private equity-backed companies across global markets.

The firm completed 81 investments during the year, providing capital for refinancings, leveraged buyouts, and add-on acquisitions. These investments spanned a range of capital structures, including senior secured debt, unsecured debt, and equity solutions, reflecting the group’s flexible approach to financing.

In addition to deployment activity, Bain Capital Credit raised more than $6 billion of new capital for investment and supported 83 companies, including 55 new platform investments. The firm acted as the majority lender on approximately 72% of new commitments, with portfolio companies averaging $53 million in EBITDA.

The Private Credit Group, which manages approximately $21 billion of capital, focuses on providing financing solutions to companies with EBITDA between $10 million and $150 million across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Since its inception, the group has invested more than $30 billion across 581 portfolio companies.

The announcement highlights continued demand for private credit solutions as companies and sponsors seek more flexible and customized financing structures in a complex market environment.
