Baird’s Private Wealth Management operation announced it added The Palm Financial Group to its Madison West office in Wisconsin. Baird also has an office in Downtown Madison.
The Palm Financial Group is coming to Baird from UBS, where it oversaw $680 million in assets. Palm’s team members include Michael Palm, Matthew Palm, and Nicholas Palm, who will join as Financial Advisors. They will be supported by Kirk Hager, an Accredited Financial Analyst (AFA), Client Specialist Courtney Justmann, and Client Assistant Michele Dahlk.
1.) Michael Palm brings 35+ years of industry experience to Baird and holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designations. Michael graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA degree in accounting and information systems. And Michael is an active advisory board member for the Our Lady Queen of Peace Finance Council.
2.) Matthew Palm comes to Baird with 10+ years of industry experience and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He holds a BA in business administration and finance from St. Norbert College and an MBA specializing in finance from Marquette University.
3.) Nicholas Palm has nearly a decade of industry experience at Baird and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. He graduated from St. Norbert College with degrees in accounting and Spanish. He currently serves as an advisory board member for the Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation and the Lady Queen of Peace Finance Council.
This deal underscores Baird’s commitment to investing in its home state of Wisconsin and further settles its position as a leader in supporting economic development across the region. Baird’s direct investment arm, Baird Capital, has invested over $185 million in 26 Wisconsin-based companies across its venture and private equity funds and generated $344 million of realized returns from these companies. Last year, Baird became the official naming rights partner for the Baird Center, the state’s largest convention center, which opens in May 2024.
