Baker McKenzie: Adele Harrison Hired As London Data And Cyber Partner

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 15, 2025

Baker McKenzie has hired data and cyber specialist Adele Harrison as a partner in its London-based Data & Cyber team, strengthening the firm’s capability in cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory investigations as client demand grows in the wake of escalating cyber risk and enforcement activity.

Harrison is a qualified barrister and joins from Orrick, where her practice focused on data and cyber law, with an emphasis on advocacy and investigations. Baker McKenzie said she advises on a broad range of cybersecurity and data privacy issues and has worked on high-profile international data breaches and regulatory investigations, including matters that require close collaboration with forensics specialists to support incident response and inquiry handling.

Before her time at Orrick, Harrison spent two years on a global investigation into allegations of fraud, bribery, and corruption, which led to significant settlements with multiple international authorities, including the UK Serious Fraud Office, France’s Parquet National Financier, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of State.

Baker McKenzie said Harrison will join the firm on January 5, 2026. The firm also framed the hire as part of an accelerated lateral growth strategy in London, pointing to a series of recent partner additions across corporate finance, M&A, private equity, real estate, investment funds, energy and infrastructure, restructuring and insolvency, tax, antitrust and competition, and patent litigation and life sciences.

Alongside the Data & Cyber expansion, the firm highlighted its broader transactional footprint, citing more than 2,700 deal practitioners across 45 jurisdictions and a deal mix that is predominantly cross-border, positioning the platform to support multi-jurisdictional client needs in complex transactions and related regulatory risk.
