Previously with a large commercial firm, Costa is recognized for her deep technical knowledge and pragmatic advice, especially in handling critical incidents, investigations, and legislative compliance. Her background as a senior criminal defense lawyer provides a unique perspective on workplace health and safety, which operates under a criminal law regime.
This new hire follows Baker McKenzie’s recent promotions in Australia, which included elevating one partner, eight special counsel, and 14 senior associates on July 1, 2025.
