Balance Point Capital has provided debt and equity capital to support Inverness Graham Investments’ recapitalization of ShipSigma. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Founded in 2018, ShipSigma provides parcel and supply-chain optimization services to small and medium-sized companies.
The company analyzes more than 20 billion parcel and less-than-truckload data points to evaluate each customer’s shipping profile and identify potential cost savings.
ShipSigma combines proprietary cost modeling with shipping carrier expertise to help customers negotiate contracts and automate invoice audits.
The company’s platform also monitors carrier compliance and helps businesses identify billing discrepancies and inefficiencies.
Balance Point said ShipSigma’s technology provides measurable savings within a complicated parcel shipping market.
The investment represents the fourth transaction completed by Balance Point and Inverness Graham over the past several years.
Balance Point manages approximately $2.4 billion in assets and provides debt and equity financing to lower-middle-market businesses.
Inverness Graham manages more than $1.8 billion and invests in companies where technology is transforming established industries.
