Bally’s has completed its acquisition of Sam’s Town Shreveport from Boyd Gaming, expanding its regional casino and entertainment portfolio in Louisiana. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds an established gaming and hospitality property in the Shreveport-Bossier market to Bally’s operations.
Bally’s plans to rebrand the property under its own name in the near future.
The company will focus initially on integrating employees and operations while maintaining service for guests.
Bally’s also plans to evaluate potential upgrades and new entertainment, dining and retail offerings at the property.
The transaction received approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.
Entrepreneur and entertainer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who has made investments in Shreveport’s entertainment district, said he expects to collaborate with Bally’s on initiatives designed to attract visitors and support local businesses.
Following the acquisition, Bally’s operates 20 casinos across 11 U.S. states and one casino in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
Its broader portfolio includes Bally Bet, horse racetracks, a golf course and development rights for major casino projects in Chicago, the Bronx and Las Vegas.
