Bally’s Corporation has appointed George Papanier as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective September 4, 2026, following the planned departure of Executive Vice President and CFO Mira Mircheva.

Mircheva notified the company that she intends to resign for personal reasons. Her resignation from the CFO and Executive Vice President positions becomes effective September 4, although she will remain with Bally’s through September 30, 2026 to help support the leadership transition.

Bally’s Board of Directors has begun a search for a permanent Chief Financial Officer.

Papanier will continue serving as President of Bally’s and a member of the Board of Directors while taking on the interim CFO responsibilities.

He brings more than 40 years of gaming industry experience and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Papanier has served as President of Bally’s land-based casino operations since October 2021.

He previously served as Bally’s President and Chief Executive Officer from February 2011 through October 2021, after initially joining the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2004.

Papanier has also previously held the interim CFO position at Bally’s, serving in that capacity during 2023.

The company said his long history across Bally’s operating and financial leadership positions should provide continuity as it conducts its permanent CFO search.

Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves said Papanier has played a significant role in developing the company’s business model, asset portfolio and growth strategy and will be supported by an experienced finance organization.

Bally’s currently operates 20 casinos across 11 U.S. states and one casino in Newcastle, U.K., along with a golf course in New York and horse racing operations.

The company also owns Bally Bet, its sports betting and iGaming platform, which is licensed in 15 North American jurisdictions.

Bally’s holds a majority interest in Bally’s Intralot, a lottery solutions and gaming business operating in 39 jurisdictions worldwide.

Its casino portfolio includes approximately 17,700 slot machines, 630 table games and 3,950 hotel rooms.

The company also controls development rights at the former Tropicana Las Vegas site and has been awarded licenses for casino resort developments in The Bronx, New York, and Chicago, Illinois.

Bally’s has more than 12,000 employees worldwide.
