Bank of America’s wealth management businesses, Merrill Wealth Management and Bank of America Private Bank, announced the full-scale rollout of an AI-powered Meeting Journey platform designed to streamline the entire client meeting lifecycle for financial advisors. The new solution integrates meeting preparation, real-time AI note-taking, and post-meeting follow-up into a unified workflow to improve efficiency and enhance client engagement.
The platform is positioned as a major step in Bank of America’s broader push to embed artificial intelligence across its operations. The company said the solution can save advisors up to four hours per meeting by automating manual processes such as note capture, summarization, and task creation. These efficiency gains are expected to free up more time for advisors to focus on strategic planning and deeper client relationships.
The Meeting Journey platform includes three core capabilities. Meeting Prep aggregates client data, relationship insights, and recent activity into ready-to-use briefing materials. Meeting Summarization is an AI-powered notetaker for virtual meetings, capturing key discussion points with client consent and generating shareable summaries. Meeting Follow-Up then translates meeting outcomes into actionable next steps, tasks, and documentation.
Bank of America emphasized that the solution is part of its growing suite of technology-enabled workflows, as it continues to scale AI adoption across the enterprise. The company invests approximately $13.5 billion annually in technology, with $4 billion allocated to new initiatives, including artificial intelligence. The firm has also built on its long-standing AI foundation, including the launch of its virtual assistant Erica in 2018, which has since surpassed billions of client interactions.
Early adoption of the Meeting Journey platform has shown strong results, with users reporting improved workflow efficiency and more time available for client-facing activities. The company expects continued expansion of AI capabilities to further enhance personalization, advisor productivity, and overall client experience while maintaining the central role of human advisors.
