Bank Of America Launches $250 Billion Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative

Bank of America has launched a $250 billion Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative designed to mobilize capital for U.S. infrastructure development and modernization over an 18-month period.

The initiative runs through July 4, 2027, and will include financing, investing, capital markets, banking, advisory, and supply chain solutions. Bank of America launched the program in recognition of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

The bank identified three primary investment categories.

Digital infrastructure includes data centers, computing hardware, chips, telecommunications, and semiconductors. Energy and power infrastructure includes conventional and renewable generation, energy storage, and distribution systems. Core infrastructure includes transportation, electric and energy transmission, grid optimization, water systems, critical minerals, and mining.

Bank of America said rising demand for computing power, energy, manufacturing capacity, modern transportation, and diversified supply chains is creating a new cycle of infrastructure investment.

The initiative will be led by Bank of America’s Global Capital Solutions and Global Infrastructure & Sustainable Finance teams, with support across all eight of the company’s business lines.

Progress toward the $250 billion target will be measured through eligible primary-market lending, investing, capital markets, and advisory transactions.

Bank of America said the initiative is expected to support tens of thousands of jobs across areas such as construction, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure operations.
