Carvajal brings more than 20 years of information technology experience, with nearly two decades focused on cybersecurity leadership. His background includes leading enterprise security strategy, chairing security committees, managing incident response programs and aligning cybersecurity initiatives with regulatory frameworks such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and the National Institute of Standards and Technology guidelines. His experience spans health systems, digital health environments and large enterprises, with a focus on risk mitigation, resilience and continuous improvement.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and maintains multiple industry certifications, including CISSP.
