Beam Global: Revenue Jumps 174% Sequentially As International Sales Approach Half Of Revenue

Beam Global reported a sharp sequential rebound in second-quarter revenue as its international operations became an increasingly significant part of the business.

Second-quarter revenue reached $8.6 million, up 174% from $3.1 million in the first quarter and 21% from $7.1 million a year earlier.

Sales outside the United States accounted for 47% of quarterly revenue and 48% of first-half revenue, compared with 37% a year earlier.

Management said its European operations are now generating approximately half of company revenue and contributed significantly to the sequential growth.

The expansion gives Beam a more geographically diversified revenue base as it develops products spanning EV charging, energy storage, autonomous systems and infrastructure.

Non-government commercial customers represented 62% of second-quarter sales, while state and local governments accounted for 38%.

Backlog stood at $5.4 million at June 30.

Beam generated gross profit of approximately $1.5 million and a GAAP gross margin of 17.8%, compared with 20.3% a year earlier.

The quarter included approximately $700,000 of non-cash depreciation and amortization charges in cost of revenue. Excluding those charges, adjusted gross margin was 26.2%.

Net loss narrowed to $3.1 million, or $0.14 per share, from $4.3 million, or $0.28 per share, in the prior-year period.

The company also continued broadening its addressable markets beyond its traditional EV charging business.

Beam received more than $500,000 of battery orders for drone and autonomous robotics applications within a single week and is targeting opportunities involving military systems, AI-driven robotics and data-center infrastructure.

Its battery design for AI infrastructure was selected for presentation at IECON 2026 from approximately 1,800 submissions.

Beam also relocated manufacturing operations to Yuma, Arizona, which the company expects to generate approximately $2.7 million in rent savings over the lease term.
