Becklin Holdings, a diversified family office with investments across aerospace, defense, manufacturing, outdoor, and maritime markets, has acquired Stubborn Mule Manufacturing, a precision engineering and CNC components company based in Grants Pass, Oregon.
The deal adds an ISO-compliant OEM manufacturer with capabilities spanning CNC machining, custom part fabrication, and contract work for customers in automotive, marine, and defense end markets that require high-tolerance production and regulatory compliance.
Becklin said Stubborn Mule will continue operating as a standalone business under its existing brand, leadership team, and Grants Pass facility. Post-acquisition, Becklin plans to support the company with operational and manufacturing expertise, capital resources, and strategic backing to scale production, strengthen supply chain resilience, and expand into additional markets.
The company also said customers should expect continuity in service, alongside new investments intended to reduce lead times, expand capacity, and deepen engineering partnerships.
Becklin Holdings described the acquisition as aligned with its longer-term strategy of building a diversified portfolio of distinctive yet synergistic entities and said it remains focused on innovation while preserving Stubborn Mule’s culture of precision and compliance. Becklin Holdings said its typical investment size ranges from $1 to $10 million.
