Behavox Acquires Apiax To Expand Cross-Border Compliance Platform

Behavox acquired Zurich-based Apiax, expanding its AI-native compliance platform into cross-border and content compliance.

Apiax develops embedded compliance software that converts financial regulations into machine-readable rules that can be incorporated directly into enterprise systems and workflows.

Behavox plans to integrate Apiax with Pathfinder, its regulatory change management product, and its existing surveillance and archiving tools.

Pathfinder identifies regulatory changes, while Apiax translates regulation into rules that can be applied where business activity takes place.

Behavox’s surveillance and archiving products can then monitor and document resulting decisions.

The company said combining the products creates a single evidence trail spanning regulatory intelligence, interpretation, implementation, monitoring, and recordkeeping.

Behavox serves global banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and commodities companies.

The acquisition also expands Behavox’s European presence.

The company opened an office in Milan in August 2026 and said its European annual recurring revenue increased 213% during the previous two years.

Behavox also received a $175 million preferred equity investment from BlackRock-owned HPS Investment Partners in June 2026.

Apiax adds employees and regulatory expertise across Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, and the U.K.

Existing Apiax customers will continue receiving their current product and support.
